* Check golden hour:** The sun usually sets 40 minutes earlier in the narrow valley than in Bonn. Our rule of thumb: sunset time minus 60 minutes = best light.

If you’re looking for some exercise before feasting, start at the **Rech** train station on the short 3.8 km “Red Wine Loop” (marked with a blue bunch of grapes). The trail leads past dry stone walls full of wild herbs, through shady oak woods and ends at the quaint **Winzerkapelle St. Sebastian** – a photo motif that no feed should be without.
