Here we answer the most important questions about our Comfort Studio in Remagen-Oberwinter
1. Where exactly in the house is the Comfort Studio located and how is it accessed (basement, separate entrance, stairs)?
The Comfort Studio is located in the basement of our house and has its own entrance via the large garden terrace.
From street level, you walk down a staircase with approx. 15-20 steps along the outside of the house into the garden – where the entrance is directly at terrace level. The studio is therefore very private, but not barrier-free.
2. How bright is the comfort studio – will I get plenty of daylight despite the basement?
Despite its location, the Comfort Studio is very bright and friendly.
The large patio or balcony door opens up the room to the garden and lets in plenty of natural light, and the bathroom also has its own window. This creates a feeling of a “garden apartment” rather than a classic basement.
3. How is the terrace of the Comfort Studio designed and how usable is it (size, furnishings, view, privacy)?
The Comfort Studio has its own terrace of around 20 m² for your exclusive use.

4. How quiet is the Comfort Studio – can I hear the street, train or noises from the house?
The Comfort Studio is located in a quiet residential area right on the edge of the forest.
There is no busy road in the immediate vicinity, and the location in the garden makes the surroundings and apartment feel very secluded. You will typically hear birdsong and nature rather than traffic noise – ideal for relaxing after a day’s work or a hike.
5. What technology and entertainment does the Komfort Studio actually offer (Smart TV, PlayStation 4, available games, streaming options)?
A Smart TV is available in the Comfort Studio, with satellite reception (Astra) and the option to log in to popular streaming services with your own account.
There is also a PlayStation 4 with a soccer game and a Formula 1 game , among other things – perfect for a cozy evening on the sofa or a small round of gaming in between.
6. How much storage space is there in the Comfort Studio for clothes, luggage and shopping – even for longer stays?
There is a sufficiently large closet for your clothes and luggage, in which you can easily store a week’s worth of clothes or more .
In addition, there are storage areas in the room so that even longer stays, project phases or assembly assignments can be easily organized without having to “live out of a suitcase”.
7. How pleasant is the indoor climate in the comfort studio in summer and winter (temperature, ventilation, fan/heating if applicable)?
The comfort studio is part of a new building and has good thermal insulation and underfloor heating.
This keeps it pleasantly warm in winter, while in summer the studio benefits from its ground-level location and heats up less than many loft apartments. As everywhere, it is important to air the room regularly to maintain a pleasant indoor climate.
8. Is the Comfort Studio suitable for guests with reduced mobility or with a baby/toddler – are there any steps or points I should be aware of?
For guests with severely limited mobility, the outside staircase with 15-20 steps to the garden is particularly relevant – you should be sure-footed here. In the apartment itself, the bed is comfortably high and the shower is at ground level, which makes access easier.
The Comfort Studio can be used well with a baby or small child; however, depending on space requirements and freedom of movement, the larger Deluxe Apartment in Oberwinter can be even more comfortable. Please contact us if you would like to travel with a child.
9. Is the Comfort Studio suitable as a quiet retreat for working from home or for mobile working?
Yes, the Comfort Studio is very well suited as a quiet retreat for home office or mobile working.
Thanks to stable WiFi, the quiet location on the edge of the forest and the option of using the dining table as a workspace , you can concentrate on your work and enjoy the view of the garden and the Rhine Valley from the terrace in the evening. 10. Are dogs allowed in the Comfort Studio Oberwinter?
Dogs are always welcome at Komfort Studio Oberwinter, because we know how much joy they bring to their owners.
We just ask our guests to follow a few simple rules:
- Please leave a message to balance the additional cleaning work a small contribution. We recommend 25-50 EUR but the amount is freely selectable. Simply place the amount on the kitchen table at checkout.
- Please make sure that your dog does not do its business in our garden (neither “big” nor “small”). The forest begins directly behind the house, which is ideal for this.
- Please maintain an appropriate noise level so that neighbors and other guests can also enjoy their stay.
If you let us know in advance that you will be traveling with your dog, we can make even better arrangements.
