Remagen Wine Festival 2025
Every year, the 20th Remagen Wine Festival 2025 attracts connoisseurs, music lovers and Rhine romantics to the picturesque promenade in Remagen. Between half-timbered facades and fairy lights, winegrowers from all over the Middle Rhine region pour out their best wines while live bands enchant the late summer evening. If you travel just ten minutes by train from our Oberwinter vacation apartment, a late summer pleasure experience awaits right on your doorstep – book your stay now and secure the best view of the sea of lights at night!
What makes the Remagen Wine Festival so special?
Remagen has been celebrating its wine festival since 1977 – and yet each edition remains unique. The secret lies in the mixture of Rhenish joie de vivre and artisanal wine tradition. More than 25 winegrowers – from large VDP houses to young organic start-ups – present over 150 labels on just 300 meters of the Rhine promenade. Many wines come from steep slopes such as the Bopparder Hamm or the terraces of the Terrassenmosel; this guarantees mineral Rieslings and powerful Pinot Noirs. A new feature since 2024 is the “zero-waste zone”: here, stand operators are only allowed to use reusable glasses and compostable plates. According to the city administration, the initiative saved 1.4 tons of single-use plastic in 2023 – an argument that particularly appeals to sustainably minded guests. For gourmets, there are food pairing stands where chefs from Remagen serve mini dishes such as wild boar tacos or vegan beet ceviche to go with a glass of Riesling.
Program 2025/26 at a glance
Thursday, September 4, 2025: Official opening by the Wine Queen, followed by a classic car parade of the “Rheintal Classics”.
Friday: After-work tasting “Young Vines” for newcomer wineries
Saturday: Fireworks “Rheinleuchten” at 10 pm
Sunday: Big family afternoon with children’s grape harvest, balloon rally and a hands-on concert by Bonn jazz band “Rheinbeat”. In 2026, the basic structure will remain the same, but with an additional street art market on Saturday morning.
👉 Tip: Many program items – such as the premium tasting in the historic “RheinHotel Arte” – are limited to 40 places. So book early at Tourist-Info Remagen and secure your overnight stay in our quiet, comfortable vacation apartment at the same time
Music & cultural highlight
The musical line-up changes every year, but there are three formats you shouldn’t miss. Firstly, the “Winzer unplugged” stage program: singer-songwriters play between barrique barrels so that every chord resonates from the wood – in 2024, this resulted in 120,000 streamed Instagram reels in just 48 hours. Secondly, the Funk & Soul Night on Friday, hosted by WDR DJ Jan Zerlett. Thirdly, the classic morning pint concert by the Remagen youth brass orchestra, whose wind instruments carry fanfare sounds directly across the Rhine. As a cultural supporting program, city guides in the costume of the Roman legion *XXII Primigenia* will guide visitors through the nearby Roman Museum.
Arrival, parking & overnight stay
The best option for a stress-free journey is the Mittelrhein-Bahn RB26: trains run between Oberwinter and Remagen every 30 minutes until 1 am. Drivers follow the B9 and head for the designated visitor parking garage at Franziskus Hospital. Six charging points (22 kW) are available for guests with electric vehicles – an offer that, according to the city of Remagen, has been used by 45% since 2023.
Conclusion: enjoyment, culture – and your box seat on the Rhine
The Remagen Wine Festival 2025/26 combines everything that makes for an unforgettable short break: top wines, live music, panoramic views of the Rhine and sustainable event management. Thanks to the short distance to our vacation apartment, transfers are possible without a car, so you can enjoy every tasting to the full.
