SUP Yoga Rhine
SUP Yoga Rhine is the perfect mix of balance, strength and that real Rhine feeling: from May to September, selected stretches of riverbank between Bonn and Remagen are transformed into floating yoga studios. We show you all the dates for 2026, explain how to book a place and reveal why guests of our Oberwinter vacation apartment are particularly relaxed when they get on board in the morning. Fancy a sundowner in a dog looking down? Namasté on the Rhine!
Why SUP yoga is so good for you
Stand-up paddling trains your deep muscles and balance, while yoga stretches your fascia and teaches you to breathe consciously – both effects are amplified on the water. According to a study published in 2024 by the German Sport University Cologne, a twenty-minute session on the board increases core stability by an average of 21%. It also reduces cortisol levels by a third. In short: SUP yoga is a mini vacation for the nervous system and ideal for regenerating after a bike tour on the Rhine cycle path. Our tip: two hours before the session, eat light food – for example freshly filled sandwiches from the Remagen weekly market – and drink plenty of water.
Spots & dates 2026
The season traditionally starts on the first weekend in May:
– Bonn Beuel-Rheinaue: every Wednesday 6 p.m., beginner-friendly
– Niederwinter jetty 4: Saturdays 9 a.m. “Sunrise Flow” – only 8 places
– Bad Honnef Grafenwerth Island: Sundays 4 p.m., family special with child boards
All dates can be booked online; please note that the organizer will cancel at short notice if the air temperature is below 16 °C or the water level is > 3.5 m. If you are staying in our vacation apartment, you can reach all spots within 25 minutes by bike. Learning material and boards are included in the price.
How to reserve your place
The regional providers have been using the“FitOnWater” booking system since 2024. After registering, you choose the spot, date and level. Payment is made by credit card or Paypal; a 48-hour cancellation is free of charge. Prices range from €29 (Early Bird) to €45 (Sunset Special).
Packing list & safety

Life jackets are compulsory on the Rhine for organized courses and are provided. In midsummer, the Bonn water police also recommend wearing neoprene shoes. Note: Always attach the leash to the board, never to your foot!
